I dont know why add a button and click the page auto commit,before I use FontPage I remember that must change type of button is Submit then click page could submit thank you for explain it for me

I agree with many that these videos provide an invaluable fast track approach to learning how to develop in the asp.net environment. My only issues are that some of the videos for iPod download seem to lose video around the 8 - 10 minute mark and in one or more cases the VB video link points to a C# tutorial.

If you just downloaded VWD 2008 the section on Layouts DOES NOT apply.  The microsoft team decided to NERF 2008: #1) You cannot select multiple objects, rendering the Layout Toolbar COMPLETELY USELESS and #2) The absolute positioning on some basic tools does not apply untill you give it some layout Height or Width dimensions (in the properties section), then you have to goto "Format" > "Position" > "absolute".  Such a disapointment.

I am trying this tutorial video and it really helps me alot though I am having difficulties when it comes to toolbar locations because I am using Visual Studio Express 2008 edition and I believe this tutorial is for Visual Studio Express 2005 edition. Can you advise me some other video tutorials that is for Express 2008 edition? Thanks!

hello, i have downloaded almost all the videos on ASP.NET, sir i am getting problem to find a particular item from my datagrid by filtering it by 2 calendar control. Means i want to search the item of a grid using the dates selected in the calendar.

I'm a novice to ASP.net and I recently downloaded MS Visual studio 2008 version 9.0.21022.8 rtm. While I was trying to follow the online tutorial Lesson#2 I found out that I'm missing the layout menu form the tool bar which disables me from accessing  important options such Absolute Positioning & Using layers. (Note in the tutorial the instructor is using a 2005 express edition of the web visual studio).

Is there a way to get the menu back to the main tool bar ?

Or if the menu is not part of the tool bar in the 2008 version then what's the replacement of it and how do I get around with  Absolute Positioning & Using layers and other options that are part of the layout menu.

Please get back to me asap your help is very much appreciated.

i was able to wtach the first lesson because there was a link that said "watch this video" but this Lesson does NOT.

anyway Those who had problems like me, seems like this one doesn't launch in your Windows Media player, just Download Microsoft Silverlight and you're good!
