Documentation for: ASP.NET Ajax Version 1.0

This documentation is for a previous version. For the current released version, see the ASP.NET Ajax documentation on MSDN.

Sys.UI.Control visible Property

Gets or sets the visibility of the current Sys.UI.Control object.

To get or set property values for client API properties, you must call property accessor methods that are named with the get_ and set_ prefixes. For example, to get or set a value for a property such as cancel, you call the get_cancel or set_cancel methods.

var v = MyControl.get_visible();

"visible" to display the current element on the page, or "hidden" to hide the control.

Return Value

true if the current element is visible; otherwise, false.

If no value is specified, the default behavior is for the element to be displayed on the page. If the visible property is set to "hidden", the control will be hidden, and it will occupy space on the page depending on the value of the visibilityMode property.
