DepartmentStoreis an ASP.NET e-commerce shop with recommender technologies. It features a shopping catalogue with unlimited sections and shelf space, built-in image thumbnailing, a search engine, a database driven shopping cart, several pseudo A.I. recommender technologies to encourage and enhance the shopping experience (akin to those of Amazon), an item review and ratings system, and an order and shipment management system, and a sales data warehouse. Currently, DepartmentStore integrates with three payment application service providers: PayPal, WorldPay and National Australia Bank's Secure Internet Payments Service (N-SIPS). eShop can receive and intepret PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPNs), WorldPay Callbacks and N-SIPS's payment responses. In so doing, it can automatically verify payments. DepartmentStore is an ASP.NET system backed by a relational database such as SQL Server 2000 or Access 2002. It requires Microsoft .NET framework version 1.1.4322 and is written in C#. The system comprises two parts: the shop proper for customers and an admin application for the vendor to manage sections, items, customers, responses from payment ASP's, orders, shipments and shipment methods.
