Description

Dynamic loading
Instant on demand loading of nodes using AJAX requests. Support for virtual scrolling using AJAX as well.

Populating with data
The TreeView can be populated with data from various data sources (database, xml files, collections, etc.).

State keeping
The tree can keep the state of its expanded/collapsed nodes in cookies, for remembering their state next time the user visits the page.

Drag and drop
The control provides various drag and drop models and can also disable nodes for drag or for drop.

Edit nodes
The nodes of the tree can be edited inline.

Content
The nodes of the tree may contain any HTML elements/controls (e.g. hyperlinks, checkboxes).

Nodes selection
The TreeView offers two selection models for its nodes - single node selection or multiple nodes selection (using CTRL/SHIFT + click).

Integration
Seamless integration with all Obout controls. Compatible with ASP.NET AJAX, ASP.NET AJAX ControlToolkit, DotNetNuke and Sharepoint.

Appearance
The TreeView comes with many styles which can easily be customized to suit any needs.

Cross browser support
Looks and works the same in all modern browsers: IE8 / IE7 / IE6, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome.

Why does this company waste peoples time by advertising their control is free when in fact it is not. If the control is worth the money they charge for it they should have the stones to be forthright with prospective customers and state the price up front. The fact that they hide the price makes me think that whatever the price is it is far too much.

I like the microsoft webcontrols treeview, but its just not production quality. The obout treeview is simple, but its lightning fast, reliable, and I got good support from the developer when I asked questions. My clients love it.
