Hi Joe A great series of videos. I want to hide a field in my table. Its a FK to its parent. However when I hide it as you have shown in this video it seems that it is still translating the FK into the parent name and includes it on the edit screen for the child record. How do I stop this happening? Any ideas/suggestions welcome.

I know it's a minor point, but Joe keeps repeating "DataGrid" a lot throughout this video. Based on the other videos, these templates are all driven by Gridviews, which are the ASP.NET 2.0 update to the old school DataGrid (for what I understand), and it may be slightly confusing for a newcomer who hasn't taken note. So, if I understand correctly, Don't use DataGrid (deprecated), use Gridview. (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc163933.aspx)

Is there a way to restrict the display of a colummn without removing it completely from the scaffolding? What if that field is something that doesnt need to appear in the gridview but would be needed in the record view? Great video by the way.
