[How Do I:] Use the ASP.NET AJAX NoBot Control?

Please install Silverlight or click download to watch video locally.

The NoBot control from the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit helps prevent certain types of unauthorized access to your Web applications. In this video we see how the NoBot control provides a number of built-in guards against automated access, including checking the number and frequency of form submissions. We also see how the control allows the developer to define a custom challenge, such as a JavaScript test that will succeed only if the page is viewed in a browser.

This was a complicated explanation which attempted to explain too much. The video went too fast. Too much code was used. The presented made typing mistakes on almost every line of code. It was not clear what role the "no bot" control played in preventing unauthorized access. Presented should have used "pre-written snippets" of code to avoid all the extra typing which would have allowed more time to explain what was going on. I didn't learn anything much except the "no bot" is complicated.

Would it be possible to re-record this video as I feel the video could have gone into more detail about how it actually works. Comments above are an issue too.

Thanks

I think your video is a great video. This video may be not so good for beginners. The only other comment I have is you did type and erase code a bit much. Thanks Charlie

I kind of got it to work but for some reason it doesn't notice the Nobot1 ID that you named the control on the page. Seems that this is only for .net 3.5?

You made so many typing mistakes that is painful to watch. JavaScript code your typed in does not have a chance to work.
