Hi Joe. Please could you read the comments. Everyone is confused. What are these validation controls? Are they from the ASP.NET AJAX Toolkit? Or does adding a ScriptManager control automatically extend the client-side functionality of the standard validation controls? What is the extra functionality being shown here over and above the functionality of the standard controls? Does anyone at Microsoft ever read these comments!!!? Remember, even though these tutorials are now pretty old, many people are coming here for the first time.
