ummm .. from my understanding as a former Java EE developer, the Controller is responsible for controlling the request/response logic (i.e.; page redirection, data encryption, data validation, accessing the MODEL populated methods .. etc) while the MODEL is responsible for the application logic which mostly include database operations. Is this the case here in ASP.NET MVC?

@yasserhy: Yes, that is the case with ASP.NET MVC. See ASP.NET MVC Overview: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd381412.aspx
