ummm .. from my understanding as a former Java EE developer, the Controller is responsible for controlling the request/response logic (i.e.; page redirection, data encryption, data validation, accessing the MODEL populated methods .. etc) while the MODEL is responsible for the application logic which mostly include database operations. Is this the case here in ASP.NET MVC?

so far so good. Hope MVC kind of application holds goods for screens where we pull data from master-child-child kind of relational tables. Thanks Steve for a quick overview.
