Very good overview of MasterPages, Joe. I wish this video had been available when I was trying to get up to speed with MasterPages a few months back! One thing that I'm still unclear on though: It seems that when using MasterPages, _everything_ has to be configured to runas=server...? I can never seem to mix server controls with standard client-side controls. For example, even static logos/images must be displayed using asp:Image tags rather than simple html img tags. While I can certainly use the asp controls, it seems to tax the server unnecessarily.

Thanks joe for all the videos, they are great, but there is no source code in any of them... do you think it will be posible to post source as the other people in asp.net do. Thanks!

Joe, Thanks for the vid. I had to go through figure out how to setup nested master pages inside of a Web Application Project since it does not give me the option to choose a nested master page. But using your video helped me get through it. Thanks, Chris

It means that the content in the Default.aspx page will be placed in the MenuContentPlaceHolder Section of the Master Page.

Hi Joe, I just want to thank you for providing such a nice series of tutorials on ASP.Net. I am a C# desktop developer and was trying to divert myself towards web but every time i tried in the past i failed due to the diversity of the Web developement but now i proudly say that due to Joe Stagner, I have at last become comfortable with the web. I have seen all of the videos. Thanks Joe -- You are just wonderful. --Atta
