In this hands-on lab, we focus on bringing Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
developers up to speed on building Web applications with Microsoft ASP.NET version 2.0. We use the
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Web Application Projects add-in to create a simple Web application. We set
up the page layout, manage state, add a database connection to our Web site, implement master pages, and set
up some basic authentication and authorization to provide minor security.
