In this webcast, we take a look at the new configuration system in Microsoft Internet Information
Services (IIS) version 7.0. We see how IIS 7.0 configuration has been improved
through the use of a file-based hierarchical configuration system, giving you much greater
flexibility in configuring IIS 7.0 over earlier versions of Microsoft Internet Information
Services. We cover a number of interesting topics to show how you can delegate the
administration of server, Web site, and Web application settings to non-administrator users.
We also show how you can control the delegation of these settings so that only the settings
you wish other users to modify are available to them. Finally, we take a look at the new IIS
Manager and the new managed API on which it is built. Join this session to learn how you can
use the IIS Manager to carry out IIS 7.0 administration tasks from a GUI.
