Using Excel for Ad hoc Reporting in Visual Studio Team System 2008

Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008 gathers a very large number of metrics automatically. Team System gathers these metrics behind the scenes with little or no impact on the development environment. Unfortunately, the build-in reports show only a small subset of these metrics. Microsoft Office Excel provides an excellent tool to take advantage of this available, but overlooked, data. In this webcast, you learn how to connect to the Team Foundation Server cube and how to create ad hoc reports and save them on the Team Portal for reuse. In addition, we highlight a few very useful reports that can be built in Excel, and we show you how to build them.
