Microsoft provides device updates to address and respond to the rapid development of new devices and browsers in the wireless industry. These updates are developed using the extensibility features available in ASP.NET and Mobile Internet Toolkit mobile controls.

Note: If you made changes to the <browserCaps> section of the Machine.config file since you installed the Mobile Internet Toolkit, you must save these changes first, then install this update and copy the changes to the revised Machine.config file. For more information about maintaining Machine.config files, see the Device Update Documentation.
