So "id" is declared as an integer and we are trying to represent it as a string - this is how I am reading it. Sorry if i sound stupid, I'm new to the Development world.

So, instead of the above code, this is what I did and converted the integer to string before displaying:

public string Details(int id)

{

string message = "Store.Details, ID = " + (id.ToString());

return message;

}

How come when both Browse methods are used in the Store controller class that when mapping to Store/Browse or /Store/Browse?Genre=Disco exception error is thrown in the browser.

// GET: /Store/Browse

public string Browse()

If I chage the input parameter name in the Details method to idd the browser throwns exception when mapping to /Store/Details/5

public string Details(int idd)

{

string message = "Store.Details, ID = " + idd;

return message;

}

It works though if the input variable is named id. How come the input variable has to be named id and not idd to work when mapping to /Store/Details/5
