I'm guessing you want decimals because of things like flour, or units that you can purchase by weight. In that case, you need to add a logic and columns to the database to handle different type of measurements units. But even then, in the basket it quantity will still be one, One item with 1.5 lbs of flour, for example.

Diomedes, you could try using this site for conversions from C# to VB and vice verse... developerfusion.com, look inside the toolbox section. Maybe Joe can tell you more about it, I've only used it a few times and it helped.

Thanks for this excellent example, really nice for beginers, keep up the good work !!!! now...I have a question: on the SubmitOrder method you create a order with its respective child orderlines, what happens if you get an error while adding the orderlines?, you already called SaveChanges() to get the id of the parent, so it will not rollback right?, do i have to handle it on the catch block calling a DeleteOrder method passing the newOrder Id? where i will have to cascade delete childs?, or EF takes car of it as a transaction?, hope its clear... I had tried to convert the project using developer fusion tools: www.developerfusion.com/ but the Master page inside the Styles folder is missing. Only the events pages Site.Master.designer.vb and Site.Master.vb appear. I am having difficulties with the ListView_ProdcutsMenu on the Site.Master, specifically on

I tried to convert that to VB using

The menu populates fine but once you add the ProductList and click on the specific product the page gets an error that ProductList.aspx was not found even though I am pointing to CategoryId=14.

Does anybody have the project all converted into VB for those of use who are novices?

Though when I unzip the solution does not create the SQL's therefore I i can't run it but all the files are there for reference.
