Not sure what the developers had in mind, this is actually a step backward. A loss of easy functionality. Not real happy with this aspect of an otherwise impressive upgrade. Almost annoying enough to make me want to stick with 2008.

I need to run it under IIS during developement so that I can test locally in my iPhone and the simulators do not size correctly (they differ when navigating to a live site from navigatiing to the same site with a real iPhone) - any suggestions?

Web Application Projects have so many advantages over Web Sites that it's not even funny. Encouraging developers to use WAP as more of a primary option can only be a good thing. Besides, noone is losing anything here - those who still wish to use Web Sites will simply need to click elsewhere on the screen to create/open one... not sure what the complaints are all about.
