I can see myself using this web API in the future to easily expose rest base services.

However I haven't found much informaiton (specially videos) about how to use .NET technologies to consume rest base services (like the ones exposed by asp.net web api) more importantly I have found very little guidance on how microsoft recomends a .NET developer to consume such rest APIs? For example someone publish rest services for me to consume, and I want to consume those services in a quick and easy manner.

Would it be possible for you to post that information? specifically What is the recomended way for a .NET developer to CONSUME rest services?

Comment Posted by bevans

Scott, I dig the RESTful approach and I am using the WebAPI template for my own project but I have a couple of questions. 1.) Why am I noticing that the repository for each controller is being cached. 2.) what is the best practice for new IDs to be created for new rows created by POST requests?

Comment Posted by Mike Panter

Just what was I looking for - brief and straight to the point.
